What if the signature is in a scanned PDF rather than digital text?
That is the common case and it works fine. A scanned page is an image inside the PDF, so the signature is extracted as pixels. If the scan is low resolution the result will be soft, so start from the highest-quality scan or photo you have.
Will the extracted signature have a white background?
Not if you enable background removal. A signature lifted from a scanned page normally sits on white paper, so removing that background gives you a transparent PNG that layers cleanly onto a new document instead of covering it with a white rectangle.
Is the PDF uploaded to extract the signature?
No. The PDF is opened and rendered in your browser, and the extracted signature is produced on your device. Nothing is transmitted, which matters when the source document is a signed contract or a form containing personal information.
Can I reuse an extracted signature on other documents?
